Icon6 jdm b16b into 99 ex coupe, need help!

I've just recently got done swapping jdm b16b into my 99 ex coupe. My axle boots on the passenger side is leaking grease and i went and got an 99 si axle and it wouldn't fit (btw i got lsd tranny). Anyone know what kind of axle i need?

Si axles DO fit, and fix your mount issue before you install a new axle. Or just put a new boot on your current axle.

99-00 Si & 96-00 CTR's have basically the same tranny, other than the LSD.

94-01 GSR axles will fit as well.

But what the other fellow told you, fix your mount first.

CTR & ITR axles do not fit, because they have 36(8?) splines as opposed to 32 splines as the GSR and Si axles have.

I'm jealous of you that you have a B16B because I've been toying with the idea of getting one for my project hatch

The axle that came with the motor just slides right in and the si keeps getting stuck. Probably the spindles.

Thats not really true. 98+ JDM ITR axles are 36mm (these are the ones used on the 5 lug setups, the earlier '96 - '97 JDM ITRs used a 4x114 setup and regular 32mm axles) all other B-series civic and integra axles (including CTR and USDM ITR axles) are 32mm.

The things is US auto stores like Autozone don't have CTR axles, pffft... they don't even know WHAT a CTR is. So it's impossible to find OEM CTR parts unless you order it. BUT I'll try the '97 ITR axles.

Did you change axle seals as well? It's a cheap investment. Honda seals that is.

ctr/si/dc axles are all the same, there is no difference what so ever.

They don't know it is becuase it was never released here.

Yes they do. The only B-series axles that are really different are 98+ JDM ITR axles and its the outer joints that are different. Inner joints are all the same.

None came with a factory LSD, but the axles are the same either way.

Really? I could have sworn it was a option. Matter of fact there is a b16 tranny sitting at a shop by house with lsd, and it is all stock.

EDIT- After some search i guess i was given the wrong infomation. The funniest part is honda told me they did.

Nope. At the time only the ITR could be had with a factory LSD in North America.
