car just dies
i have a problem my car just dies on me if i let it idle i have to keep the revs up while i drive i think it might be the timing but not sure anyone ever had this problem if so how did u fix it?
Have you tried setting the idle at a higher speed??
Another though is that it could possibly be running too rich, and fuel not combusting? Just a shot in the dark there. I'm no car genius

x2...check your dipstick. If it smells like gasoline, that means you're probably running rich and the gas is mixing with your oil (leaking down your cylinder walls), causing it to thin out and lose oil pressure, even if the oil is topped off. You should do a pressure check to see where your oil pressure level is at. Anything less than 10psi at idle means something isn't right...like the previous poster said, try adjusting your idle speed to see if that helps any. I wouldn't continue driving around too much until you diagnose the problem...hope your oil pump isn't going out, that's worst-case scenario...
