Default Idle/Oil pressure Help.....

Whats up everyone does anyone know what your oil pressure should read at idle?? it was normally around 20-25psi until recently i got new pads put on (i know that has nothing to do with oil pressure) but now...my idle is steady @ 1500rpm WARM! and oil pressure is steady at 45-50psi WARM! something seems weird...any help would be appreciated...thanks in advance.

It should be no less than 10psi at idle and about 50psi @ 1500 RPMs and above.

Did you change your oil recently? That would do it. As far as the idle...

as per the honda service manual oil pressure for the b16 should be 10-15psi warm idle, and 50psi at 3000rpm in some cases there are 84mm oil pumps on b16s, and some have 80mm, my oil pressure is 20psi at 700rpm, and 82psi at 3000 full warm idle, using 5w-30 mobil synthetic.

it could be the iacv plunger sticking, brake cleaner works well to unstick it, also check for a vacuum leak, if the leak is only big enough for 1500rpm idle, it wont trow a code, its when it tries to pass that rpm that the engine cuts it, and the surging idle takes place.
