Default Methanol injection question

When dealing with meth injection,

single shot into the cold-side charge pipe.

Is it assumed that there is equal distribution of the spray between all cylinders?

Or which ones get more of the spray / get less?

Because when your tuning with meth, you shoot for the same AFR's right? maybe even leaner.

but the wideband would show the same afr, if 1 was getting more meth than the others.

or are the distribution variances so minimal, that i shouldnt even worry about it.

opinions? facts?

I think the further you inject from the TB the more equal distribution you'll get. You'll also get less of the mixture reaching the cylinders because it'll get on the walls of the intercooler and piping as well.
I'm about to do a water/meth kit install as well.

Are you going to use meth/water at 50/50 or just straight meth? There are alot of ways to run a mist injection system. If you want precise and equal distribution then you might want to look into mounting a nozzle on each manifold runner and flow switches to cut all nozzles if 1 was to fail. This can get expensive.

I would not tune using the meth, Id use it as a safety margin and peace of mind. if your mist injection does fail then the tune would be suffice.

thats a very interesting write up. I really like the pre turbo idea but like they said, and I also, would be really worried about the compressor blades especially at higher boost levels. Maybe some of you guys with billet wheels can be persuaded to try this.

ya im shooting my mist about 15 inches down from the TB, so its pretty far away from the TB, its close to where my BOV is. im using 50/50.

I dont wanna do each runner, its just not feasible.

but judging from that write up, it seems like i am ok, and it should distribute evenly.

Although now i want to change it up and shoot it pre-turbo.

^ What Kind of Turbo are you using? Cast or Billet blades? Be sure to report back if you do decide to go pre turbo.
