Hi there...have a 95 integra gsr swap with a h22a turbo. Just took my car to the shop to get it tune. Everything was fine, but then my tuner said vtec will not engage???all vtec wires are correct and in working condition...selonoid is in working condition...dont know what else to think of...need suggestions???car is not throwing any codes off...he said it might be the ecu or the head, but not sure...please anyone with any suggestion will be appreciated??????

check the oil level? you need to grab a helms and start chasing the problem.

 

oil level is good. just wondering what other things might keep vtec from not working???????

 

clogged oil passages, low oil pressure, and any number of electrical gremlins

 

x2 most common issue is low oil pressure
another issue I've found
? Is the ecu chipped...I've loaded a base map before and came to find out vtec was told in engage and disengage at the same Rpm...check for that or something similar...hopefully tuner would have caught something like that though
