Help! 97 ex air bag srs light on
You are going to need to pull codes from the SRS Unit in order to troubleshoot your system. You can pull the codes without a scan tool, using the Service Check Connector on the passenger side of your car under between the glovebox and the kick panel.
so pretty much if i bring it to auto zone and have them run the pcu on it they should be able to tell me the srs codes? cause i even tried the "ghetto" remedy of disconnect the battery for 15 mins and didnt clear it thats what leads me to believe it was unplugged cause the prior owner was pregnant at the time. me personally im not worried about it i just have emmissions in april and im not trying to go multipule times for bs.

my SRS light is on aswell.
i do not think there is a lose or unplugged wire since it turned on once, drove it home, shut it off and when i started it again it was off.
but now its been on for about a week now.
vehicle is a 1996 honda civic ex.
where is the SRS unit located at?
i thought the service point connectors are only for reading the ECU codes

you can reset the srs light easily. some people say it comes on when you do a cluster or seat swaps with the ignition on. some say it comes on in a certain amount of years for honda's to get their srs system checked out. but idk...here is a link to show you how to reset the srs light if you want
copy paste and you're good....gl
