shock rod bolt stuck on my wife's 97 civic
So I was going to install some eibach springs on my wife 97 civic coupe today (not my first time installing springs on a car)
Only things is all but one of the shock rod bolts were stuck, I tried breaking them loose before even taking anything off.
Anyone have any advice?
Also the stock tool that came with the lug wrench started twisting while in the rod so I stopped.
Thanks in advance guys!!!

Re: shock rod bolt stuck on my wife's 97 civic
It would help out if you could provide a pic of the problem since I have seen different variations in struts. I've always used air tools or a strong battery powered impact (like the snap-on 18v 1/2 for example) to just impact the nut off when seized (make sure spring is properly secure of course). PB blaster is a practical must also. other than seeing a pic and maybe coming up with another idea you may just have to eat the strut cost and buy a new one (hope not though ).
