Icon3 CEL After Driving

So I have a 1994 Honda Civic Ex, D16z6 motor. After the car warms up and I drive for about 15-30 min the check engine light will come on. Now if I stop and turn off the car, the CEL will dissappear. I have tried to pull the code with the paper clip looping the connector trick, but it gave me nothing. Also, the car drives just fine and the idle is fine. I checked all the connectors and none are loose, and also tried to see if i had a vacuum leak, but could not find one. So I was wondering if anyone can give me some advise/help on what to do.

How long does it take for the CEL to come on?
Put the paperclip in and go drive until the CEL comes on, It should start blinking immediately. Or Just jump the connector while the car is running after the Check engine light comes on.

The CEL will take anywhere from 15-30 min to come on, but sometimes when i drive it wont come on. I will try your method when i get out of class, thanks. Does anyone else have any suggestions.

If there are no symptoms except the cel we cannot tell you what is wrong. I'd do what the last post said and just leave it jumped until you figure it out. Good luck.

When you jump the service connector to retrieve the CEL code(s), does the CEL remain ON steady or does it turn OFF?
