My brothers Integra has no power and bogs in all gears until after 4k rpms. We are leaning towards timing, but not sure. Also he has an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator that was on the car when he got it. Anyone have any ideas on what the problem is?
Why was the car fitted with a pressure regulator to begin with?
Honestly, it sounds like either that car was modified by a moron ricer looking for "cool looking" parts, or has been subjected to some serious mods to warrant such a thing.
Either way, since you don't list any other mods, pull the regulator and replace with stock, then continue troubleshooting from there.

yea the guy ****ed the car up with ricer mods bad Cali type r kit and all. My brother got it repainted and put th 94 front back on it. I will try the regulator. My brother got rid of the fart can and put an Apexi WS II full exhaust on it. He also put on an AEM V2 full intake, and a header. Thats all the mods for the motor. He still has to get rid of the 17's and the Tenzo R seats.
my car does not have all the ***** it should have either i'm actually re setting the timming it was retarded for when it use to be boosted it also has low compression pistons in it, i dunno if that might be your case as well or not. but timming i think will help.

FPR needs to be set correctly. I wanna say 42 PSI but I might be wrong. I'd check timing to make sure but it's almost postively the FPR.

took the aftermarket FPR off and put my stock one on from my car, and the same thing. Bogs and no power.
advanced timming today. i'm takijng back my timing gun and getting a better one i was not able to accuretly set the timming but i at least advanced it and it did give me a little more power (obviously not 10 horse) and my idle is stronger now. i'd say give it a try or at least check it out.
advanced timming is surposed to help fuel economy. i also 2 days ago changed my fuel filter that could be a reason for the mpg, i know it helped me

the last time I got an issue with my car bogging is the dizzy. seem like the car has no power when I floor it and it keep bogging (feel like a newbie driving manual Transmission for the 1st time). Turns out the igniter and coil were bad. Let me try to find an article on how to test for a bad dizzy.
You replaced the distributor. You have to set the ignition timing. Did you set the ignition timing properly?
1) Fully warmed engine
2) All lights and accessories off
3) ECU jumper in passenger kick panel closed (paper clip)
4) 16 deg BTDC using the white mark with an adjustable light or the red mark for a non-adjustable light.
