Default Highest F23 Dynos and 1/4 Mile Times

This thread will hopefully supercede BlkChryKord's "Highest F23 whp" thread which unfortunately turned to crap after turning into an F-series/H-series bashing debate.

Please keep all the bickering about 'which is better' out of this thread!

Here are some 'guidelines' that I'd like this thread to follow to keep it organized, informative, and on topic.

1. If you have numbers/times to contribute, please post them up along with a mod list. You don't have to list your painted valve covers or cool stickers, but everyone appreciates a detailed mod list.

2. If you have dyno charts or time slips to post up, please do include them in your post. Charts and Slips are HIGHLY recommended to prevent any questions or BS flags, especially if you are claiming some outrageous numbers. When I add you to the list in this first post, I will link your name to your actual post so that others can browse the list easily, without 100 photos to scan through on the first post.

3. Do not discuss H-series, hybrids, F22's, F20b's or anything else in this thread. This is to document F23's ONLY. If your post is filled with useless bickering, disparaging or derogatory comments, it will be reported to a mod, and deleted.

4. Feel free to ask questions and/or comment on fellow members' results, so that we all can learn.

I've started a few listings below, but the mods list and numbers are most likely out of date.

just curious, how come your A/F ratio are so erratic. arent you having a problem running rich? Shouldnt your A/F ratio be somewhat of a straight line exspecially since your NA and do not need to run rich to compensate for the boost?

just a thought

His car was using the stock ECU in that dyno, so it's not tuned. The graph also exaggerates it because of its small scale and large height.

That's no where near stock. More like a 25-35whp increase over a stock F23 with manual transmission. Not many people ever see those numbers from their F23 with just bolt-ons.

Exactly. Those numbers are close to stock CRANK figures.

stock numbers you are comparing to is probably the HP at the crank, not wheel (actual = WHP).

Good thread... bump for the F23's... bespite not wanting to let the F22's play too. Looks like there is some decent numbers.

Well, unless you feel like typing out a mod list, it will stay that way.

Here's my last print.

98 Accord - F23A4 ULEV stock NA Motor on Webcamshaft, V2 CAI, Adj. Fuel Press. Regulator, DC Header, an UR-Ultra Crank Pulley tuned on AEM Management System, and WSII Exhaust w/a Cat!

Also: H23 Trans. Swap & Exedy Stage 1 Clutch.

I had changes done to AEM unit that affected driveability and tuning a bit; also had catalytic converter removed, an aluminum flywheel and 6 puck clutch installed after this test but never dyno'd car again since. I'm sure it's above 160 by now but we'll have to wait until next dyno session.

153.8 whp/152.7wtq.

Cam is in. I somehow managed to loosen the timing belt while swapping it out, so it has a nasty flopping sound when running. It does pull nicely, but didn't give me that 'whoa!' feeling. I'm sure after a good street tune it will feel much better, but it might be a while before I can dyno tune and have numbers to post.

The head is slightly ported on the exhaust side with a good bit of smoothing, and only deburred on the intake side with a little smoothing, then milled maybe .030" by my guestimates.

though you haven't had it tuned yet, would you say its making more power already? what cam were you using with your 160+ whp dyno?

I`ve used the stock cam up until now. The new cam feels a little more peppy around 3000 rpm, but thats about all. Hopefully it will really wake up with a good street tune.
