i have done a like 3 valve adjustments after rebuilding my motor and i still here a loud ticking noise and it sounds like lefters are loose but they are all in spec? anything it could be?
could be your oil pump... valve tend to get louder and louder with bad oil pumps kinda lyk a warning.. "YOUR OIL PUMPS GOING BAD" is what thier saying lol

nothe thing is that the tensioner is bad and it had some slack on the belt but when i pulled on the tensioner and made the belt tight thats when i started hearing the noise??
Can you tell if the noise goes away at higher rpm's ?
did you make sure that your crank was at tdc when you did cyclinder one and quarter turn past for cylinder 2 and half past for cylinder 3 and 3/4 past for cylinder 4 when you adjusted the valves and are you sure your timinging is set correct cause if not then it is kinda pointless to make sure the valves are adjusted properly
What about a higher octane? What about a clogged catalyst? I would even though you said you did it like three times, check you valve clearances again, and check your ignition timing, cam timing spark plugs. Maybe even get as far as checking the cam shafts for wear.
