I got a JDM CTR LSD, i purchased a GSR Ring Gear for the Diff & the tranny shop called me & told me that theres a 5mm difference in the height from the b16 & the b18 GSR ring gear.

What do i need to do?

 

Nevermind, i misunderstood what the tranny shop told me. GSR RING GEAR IS FINE.

 

The problem is: the stock differential has a raised lip, when the bear is pressed on it fits perfectly, but the JDM CTR LSD has NO LIP WHAT SO EVER, when the bearing is pressed on the LSD, it rubs on the tranny case. 5mm is the difference. I dunno, i will post pics in about an hour or so......

 

B16a and b18b use the same diff and tranny casing. B16b and b18cx use the same. You may need a different lsd or get a gsr casing for your gear set.

The shop reccomended puting a shim between the speedo gear & the bearing
