Where is the best place to buy the Vtec solenoid gasket? The motor is a b16a.

 

I looked around for a while online (non-Honda sites), no luck. Went to many different auto part stores, no luck. I think Honda is the only one that makes them.

That diagram lists part #12 as a "FILTER ASSY., SPOOL VALVE". The picture in the diagram looks correct, but the description doesn't sound right.

Is it common to develop a smallish oil leak right around this gasket? Nothing major, but its enough of a leak to make things messy I don't wipe the area down periodically.

 

It may not sound like the right part, but it is. The the VTEC solenoid > head seal has a metal "filter" screen to prevent debris from getting into the valve area.

This gasket gets brittle with age and can start to leak. I had to replace it on my B16A, it wasn't hard to do.
