I recently bought an s2000 and just today i get a whirring noise when the clutch is engaged(pedal not pressed down). As soon as i disengage the clutch(press the pedal down) the noise goes away.
Is this the throwout bearing? Btw, the clutch was replaced a few months before i bought the car and I have the receipts for it. I'm thinking it's the tranny =( I'ts got 75,000 miles on it.

nvm, i found out it's the main input shaft bearings and all s2000's make this noise. I was pretty sure my old 02 made the same noise. Something to do with the bearing tolerances. woot!
