weird knocking noise???
my car is making a knocking noise, its not the motor. it sounds like its coming from the bell housing. i thought it was my throwout bearing, but i just replaced my clutch, pilot bearing, throwout bearing, and pressure plate and still the same noise. when i push the clutch in the noise goes away when i let off it rattles pretty bad... got and clue to what it is... thanks

Re: weird knocking noise??? (sracing)
I work in a transmission shop. When a pilot bearing goes, thats exactly what it does. When the clutch is engaged, it rattles (not sure thats the word to describe it) like a ****. Did you grease the bearing up good when you installed it? Either way, its toast if its doing that. You'll have to replace it again.
