My mother just payed off this 03 civic hybrid and the block is cracked. Supposivly ther is fuel in the water. I havent checked it out yet. What is the cheapest way to get it going again? How much will it cost? Can I do it myself? Also is it even possible to mount another type of moter in this car?

 

i personally beleve that if you need to ask that many questions then you should not try it...

do you have the proper tools
money and work space?

is the block cracked or the sleeves? i would say take it to a engine builder to see the problem. if its too expensive it might be cheaper to get a replacement block. just my 2 cents.

Putting anything other than the stock engine in *your* hybrid will probably be more trouble than it's worth.

 

well if you know how to do the diffrent swaps... give it a try..
