Default cleaning motor products

hey everyone, i am wondering if anyone knows of a product or method to get the grime on my block and tranny, im trying to clean it up and make everything mint, my last motor i had hot tanked and now i cant stand the dirt on my new block. any ideas?

I used simple green and a power washer.

does carb cleaner work well? i know it cleans most stuff off haha but im in the same boat with needing to clean my new motor. best method from what i have heard is simple green so im leaning towards that

Brake cleaner.....go to walmart... Get the cheap ones.

Over cleaner will work too. Just don't get in on any plastic.

my b20 block dirty



my hot tanked motor, used 20 000 km blown turbo seals




my cleaned b20 and magic in a can




this is what i used, brake clean the block, wait till it drys, wipe the cracks that are full of grime. make sure your in a well heated and ventelated area. spray with car brite engine paint, i used aluminum mate for the color.
