Default Which one? Dart or Type R block...

hey
im looking to do a serious turbo build to put out over 600, 700 horses... which is a better block to go with, a B18C5 bored out to 2litres or a Dart B18 block bored to 2 litres or a B20 Dart block. I HAVE done searches and didnt really get the info i was looking for, and most were a couple years old. Money doesnt matter as I will prolly only build one serious honda motor, so if the cost is high, the motor build will just take longer...

-everything in the motor will be redone to high performance aftermarket stuff and only necessary stock components will be the same (forged pistons, etc.)
-im wondering whether a dart block is a good platform to make a serious turbo or a B18C5. im looking at 2.0 litres, but i heard the B20 is too tall for a hatch or something
- the B18C5 will be made to 2.0 litres and same with the dart B18 because i want 2.0 litres

anyhelp appreciated, thanks

You’re going to have to buy the dart block or use the JDM b20. I glad to hear you have the good sense to only keep the necessary stock components. The problem you will encounter it not in the Block selection as many people have reached these power goals, you’re problem lays in you turbo selection. You’re going to need an enormous Turbo to make that kind of power. The problem then is spooling that big *** turbo, well what no one will tell you about is the need for turbo spool reservoirs (TSR). You will need at least three TSR to store a bunch of spool in that way your power will come on early and your 700hp ride will be fun as hell to dive around the city in. good luck!

good turbo to start with:

what the hell?

is the car daily driven or a race car? the dart block is sick...it's a hair more than what you will spend sleeving a bseries with the machine work included.

i've just heard from some people that they're kinda a pain to clean up, all the orifices need to be clened out..there's shavings everywhere...in my mind though, to each his own.
