Default speedo

I cant get my speedometer to work, I have changed my vss and i have changed my cluster, and traced back all my wires, I'm at a loss I dont know where else to look. any thoughts

check for power at fuse 23, at the srs fuse block. its on top of the underdash fuse box. use a test light. next at the vss connector. unplug it, looking at the wire side of the connector ( the back side) 1st wire should be black-continuity to ground the middle wire-black/yellow should have 12v with the ignition switch on 3rd wire orange should have contiuity to speedo connectors orange wire. hope I was able to help!

If you replaced your vss with a new one, then sorry i cant think what it could be, besides a wiring issue. If you got a replacement vss unit from a wrecker you may have had extremely bad luck as i did 3mths ago. I replaced my vss with a used vss and it would work for 5 mins every time the car was started from cold and then stop working. I got an auto elec. to have a look and he said it was definately the replacement vss, and to get a refund and buy a new one, as they arent too much more price wise. So i got a new one and no prob since. Good luck with it. I know its a f%&king pain not having the speedo up and running.

i replaced it with a new vss and vtec is working so i dont think its an issue there, i put a gage pod from an automatic in the car which is a 5 speed could that be the issue
