VSS wiring problem???? HELP!!!!!
So my speed-O in my cluster isnt working nor is the main odo or trip odo turning over. So I got all the wiring diagrams for both my Vtec & the VSS sensor. Since my speed-o isnt working I was told my Vtec will not work either.
I go an check everything to make sure it is all going to the correct pin points in my ECU (which they are). But I notice on of the wires from the VSS is going under my dash. So I trace it and find it going to the main fuse board under the as as shown below.
Now the yellow wire that you see circled in red is coming strait from my VSS and butt connected to the red wire that you connected to the main fuse board. But that red wire isnt connected to anything and just hanging there.
So I need two things here,
a) I need to know which wire are which in the connector plug on my VSS. I know ylw/blu goes to B10 in my ECU. But where dose the other wire connect too?
So here is a pic of my VSS plug. Does anyone know which wire is wich? I could switch them around but I dont want to short anything out.

b) Does anyone know if this is the correct point at where the VSS was hooked up already to the main fuse board? If not then where it needs to be ran too? I have my Cheltons but could not find anything on this part.

I May have a solution for your (A) Problem.
Ok, if the plug your referring to is under the hood of your car, look around and there should be easily another plug that looks like it would fit into it...I did it on my Accord, I don't know if this would be any different or not, So I thought I would throw that in there for you and see if it helped at all...
Good luck,

Yeah the plug that it connects to is VSS located on the bell houising of the tranny by the gear box. My problem isnt trying to find out where it goes. Its where it some of the wires plug into. I know there the grnd, ECU, and then one wire left that I dont know if its goes to power or what. Thats the wore that is displayed in the second pic going strait into the fuse board. I did find out that the pin point in the fuse board that it is conneted to is pwr w/ on. But Im still not sure if that one wire goes strait to power or not.
Thanks for trying to help though.
here is the diagram I found for the underdash fuse board.
