my car is an auto from the factory .. and has since been converted to a 5spd .. my question is this .. when i go in reverse my lights do night work .. im guessing because the car was an auto? how do I fix this?

 

any suggestions?

 

on the plug under the center console that formerly plugged into the automatic shifter assembly there will be 2 wires in the middle of a row, I can't remember if its the top or bottom row, one is solid yellow, the other is green/black, extend these wires out through the firewall to the backup light switch on the transmission housing.

 

You need to run a wire from the reverse switch on the trans to the reverse wire under your console where the auto shfter was iirc

 

Ok thanks i'll have to take a look when I get home .. and see what I can figure out .. I got stopped at a DUI check point and got a ticket for my reverse lights not working and my gauge lights not working lol the gauge lights have been a a problem since I bought the car .. all the bulbs work the dimmer works and the climate control lights work its crazy

 

A ticket at a dui checkpoint because your reverse lights dont work? Thats got to be on the top ten list of BS reasons for the man to write a ticket
