I hate the stock front on 92-95 ej sedans but a si/coupe is ok but I remember ordering some black head lights for my eg hatch some years ago that the head lights are different for the hatch/coupe than they are for the sedan so I was wondering if I could just snap a coupe hatch front on a sedan using the stock hardware and mounts cause I dont want no body kit and I like my cars to look as stock as possible please help!!

 

as far as i know, it takes some modification.. with the fenders and all too...

im not 100% positive, but you cant just slap on a 2door front on a sedan...

 

yeah I kinda figured it wouldnt just snap in but I havent seen anybody who has done this even though I know somebody else has at least tried this but any input would be appreciated

 

100% it wont fit perfect needs some modification .

 

so to avoid cuttin or heavy modification I am going to guess the best way to do it would be to get the lights, fenders, and bumper but If I go that route will I have to get the hood from a coupe/hatch to??? I feel a litle silly asking this since I work at a body shop but I want something as factory as possible, and on a very low budget because I wanted this car to be one that doesnt have a lot of modification to it other than the motor, brakes, and coilovers

 

the bumper will fit but nothing else will. The fenders are shorter, hood shorter. Lights are smaller. The bumper is actually narrower but will fit just bolt it together really good at the fenders and it will look factory. Probably gonna do this to mine because i like the fog light openings in the coupe.

 

try test fitting to get a good idea of what you will need to do/mod.

 

to get the hood and lights to fit you must cut your fenders and move them back.

 

So far from the threads with this subject I learned that to get the perfect junction of the fender and bumper (using coupe corner lights) is to take the back half of a sedan fender and weld it to the front half of a coupe/hb fender and viola! You will have a flawless, smooth transition from the bumper to the fender and will look super factory and you'll get to keep the sedan hood too.
