Default Gude racing head?

I,m buying a Gude head package from someone online, He sent me pictures but I noticed the intake maifold Looks identical to my stock one (externally) Does gude use Honda part and simply port them, or should it be an etirly different manifold. Trying to make sure Im not getting ripped. Any info is appreciated.

I would think so. I don't know for sure, but there's a $1000 core charge if ya buy the package from http://www.ardperformance.com

I've heard that Skunk 2's intake manifold is a stock one, just ported. But again, I'm not definate on this. It just sounds like I've heard this conversasion before at my shop.

I believe the skunk2 is a new manifold. At least i think it is for the gsr since it has a different bolt pattern than the type r. But i may be wrong.

Gude uses stock manifolds and ports them. You can do the same thing at home for nearly free, or if there is a local machine shop with a flow bench, you can have it done right for a lil bit of money. Gude cams are regrinds, too.

try http://www.mmrusa.com/ only like a $500 core charge,
and some of the packages include ECU's. I'm interested in the D16Z6 package, if anyone knows anything about that let me know.
