And that was for a split second. not even the level to gauge such a turbocharger. What power level are you looking for? that would have been the better question to ask.

What's a lot of power? What's good power on low boost?

you're going to be pushing the crap out of the 35 to get 650whp
350 on 10 psi would be easy

Aren't we all? With turbos, the efficiency range is not that big. Because of this, you either select a turbo for a low boost application and run it out of efficiency when you crank the boost, or you get a good turbo with lots of power at the top, and get crappy efficiency when you turn down the boost. In one hand, you get good spool, on the other, you get huge top end. Know your hp goals, and depending on what you plan to make, you'll have to sacrifice some spool time to meet it. Unless you want to get two different turbos. Although a vaiable-geometry turbo would be sick.

based on your hp goals, a gt40 can handle that hp, but you can't expect it to spool like a gt28.

what about a s362?
seems like it would fit that criteria
i would either do that or a 35r
i just think a 40r would be a bit much on a street car

This is sanctified testimony. You cannot get all in one application. It just won't happen, especially with the displacement (under 3.0 litres) that we deal with. Even the S362 can't do it all that this OP is asking. He needs to be a bit more realistic as to the goals that he's trying to achieve, even if it means riding in a few more higher powered Hondas. That might help him a bit more with looking towards his needs. If the engine is built well enough, low boost/hi boost, won't really matter because he will be prepared for it through tuning and the right supplemental parts.

im running the t3/t61 "TE61" pushing 390hp but if i hit the gas cant hook up my tires falken(r-615)
1st-2nd-3rd lil bit, once i get traction its too late i lost the race...
cant imagine running 650hp driving around reading vaccum all the time LOL,

IMO, its not unrealistic at all..

I absolutely loved my 35r setup! I mad just a tad over 700hp maxing out my 3bar. I unfortunatly dont have any low boost data since I always drove my car on kill and on race gas

I gaurentee you will love the 35r setup though! Or at least I did. Of course it will also depened on the manifold, engine program, tune up, etc.

Here are some vids you can see, this is my old thread.
