Default Oil Pan + extreme cold weather

well the past week its been a high of 0 with temp just hovering around -20. and its a little to cold to put in hondas block heater. and my question is is the oil pan on b16's aluminum or steel? reason why i ask is i dont want to cut a heaterhose to put in a coolant heater and just was thinking of getting a magnetic oilpan heater. i raelly dont have a problem with my car starting, i know its hard on it and have to crank on it for a few more seconds then normal to get it fired up.
