Oil Pan + extreme cold weather

well the past week its been a high of 0 with temp just hovering around -20. and its a little to cold to put in hondas block heater. and my question is is the oil pan on b16's aluminum or steel? reason why i ask is i dont want to cut a heaterhose to put in a coolant heater and just was thinking of getting a magnetic oilpan heater. i raelly dont have a problem with my car starting, i know its hard on it and have to crank on it for a few more seconds then normal to get it fired up.

seeing who people weld return line fittings (for turbos) on them all the time im gunna guess there steel. its not as often that you find an aluminum welders
