Default vibration in civic after new axle install

H22a 93 civic ~ H22 intermediate shaft ~ 90 integra axle ~ H22a inner
I have just replaced my pass axle and took it for a drive.

But now have a vibration..feels like a small patch of mud on the wheel..

consistent small bump bump..as speed increases it gets worse.

and when I swerve left 20+ mph bumps get worse.

axle nut tightened to spec
lug nut tightened
axle is locked into tranny
no play in the axle

So What then?

+2 I have had ones that do that and after a couple of miles the thumping goes away. I have also had it stay until I replaced the axle again

I gave up. Without feedback abou the axle setup I decided to buy the hasport axle 192.00 shipped for passenger axle. O well I believe this problem is over with. Thanks for the feedback I did get.

jobber axles have that problem sometimes (reman axles)

we used to send some back when i worked at Acura even though it's a "new" axle.

hope the hasport ones solve your problem

the nut could've backed off or something. that holds the hubs together, if it comes loose it gives the same feeling as a bad wheel bearing

It seem the axle just doesnt work for my h22 93 civic setup. The hasport axle will be here this week and I'll post the good news hopefully.

Not to revive an older thread, but I just ran into the same type of deal.

I work at Advance Auto parts these days, and I am on my 3rd axle which finally seems to match up. That's right, same part number on every box, each axle just a little bit different to where it won't work.

Maybe, when considering new axles, just to Raxles or Hasport and be done with it. Messing with parts houses is getting old.
