ive own both a b18b crx and a b16 crx.....stock swap...hhhmmm...id pick the b16...ls-vtec and a non vtec b16...id pick the ls-vtec...but a motor is just like a wallet..its only good/full if u put money in it..just my 2cents..
Putting the B18 head on the B16 will eliminate V-tec so you will have a 1.6l sohc non v-tec. You're better off putting in the B18 complete engine, at least then you will have the 1.8l displacement.
In my opinion, Just leave the B16 in and sell the B18 for more parts.

ok would the b16 run any better if it had the b18 block on it????????? and wat ever parts i got left over im going to sale.... im just wondering before i sale anything... WELL THE B16 MOTOR RUN BETTER WITH ITS O.G. BLOCK??? OR WITH IT THE LS BLOCK????
I really think you need to do some research on this. Do some searching. Take your VTEC head and put it on a B18 or B20 block. Again please do some searching look at the dyno graphs in the all motor forum.
proper grammar, please.
from what it sounds like you have little knowledge of working on cars so stick with the motor you have in there now. don't jump into anything just because you have something lying around. take CRX Toad's advice and research what possibilities you are looking at.
and just putting the b16 head on the b18 block will not make it "run better". there is a lot of work involved to make it run correctly. probably more work than you're ready to get involved in.
