Its got great torque off boost, and pulls real hard on boost. With a proper sized turbo and good tuning, youre looking at 250whp+ and a low/mid 13 second 1/4 if you can get tractio) i want to knowwitch is better i want to atleast boost 10-15 no more then that if any help that would be good i tryed to research but i dont know what to put so links would come up i but stuff but gay links came up that didnt help me at all. so if anyone can help me that would be great.
I hope I don't confuse you for saying this, ekjoker:
It's not a "better or worse" scenario. You have to take the time to look at your budget to find out if you want the time and expense to add the VTEC head. The cylinder head is the determining factor, but you have to look at the cost effectiveness for you. Some people like strictly LS because it is "different" to make good power out of it, and so they utilize better cylinder head components to compete with the VTEC cylinder head design (larger cams, valve train, etc). Some find that easier for their needs than to invest in a VTEC head, and an LS/VTEC kit to integrate the new head onto the block.
It also depends upon the turbo that they have for the car, and the power that they're looking for. Different turbo is best for all LS vs, LS/VTEC, so you need to take that into account of your build.
LS/VTEC conversions have come a long way, so reliability for your Daily driver is all going to be in your experience (or whoever helps you) and your tune.
