03 accord P0108
Ok I have an 03 accord v6 I had troubles getting the dang thing started after the headgaskets but I got it started but now it dies in idle it will stay on for a little while then the idle will go way low and it will shut off. It has a code its p0108 which is the map sensor, replaced the map sensor and it still comes on. I tested the wires going to the map sensor and the one wire reads about 5. Does any one know what could be wrong here????
did you have the heads milled??
were the vales redone??
did you do a vale adjustment??
how are the timing marks??

Car was hit in the front when I got it and the headgasket was blown, got the heads milled did the valve adjustment and timing is perfect. Could it be the wiring what voltage is it suppose to read? If the gasket is still leaking would it throw that code?
If the heads were Milled too much it will cause that code because the ECU can not compensate for the extra compression. We had a Ridgeline come in that had both heads milled after it overheated and had the same type of problem.
The other problem you can hope for is damaged wiring. It happens some time when doing work like that, just look for pinched/ stretched/ kinked wires

The code is for high voltage from the sensor to the computer. The computer is seeing 5v or close to it meaning you might have a bad ground to the map sensor. Use a volt meter and check for 5v between the #1,#3 wires (the two outer ones) you should have 5v, if not check the wires individually, one should have 5v to a known good ground and the other should have continuity to a known good ground. Let us know....

Man, I am throwing the same code but on a 97 Civic Sedan. I've dropped about $800 in random stuff like 2 MAP sensors, Air Intake Sensor, New Bottom O2 Sensor, new headers w/ catalytic converter, and the check engine light is still on. So the slightest imperfection with the wiring could be the problem?
Ok i got the code off it was the old alarm that was intalled on the car. They hooked the ground connected to the map sensor to the alarm so when I fixed it the light went off
but now the car will only start when its cold, after it warms up it wont start. its not flooding the spark plugs, the fuel pump kicks in, but I dont have an exhaust system on there right now no cat either could that cause it to do that?? Also checked the main relay and thats good too

Check the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor:

Not necessarily. The ECT switch opens and closes depending on the coolant temperature, sending a signal to the computer, where the computer adjusts the spark and fuel.
Next time the car is warmed up, unplug the ECT connector and try to run it. If it starts and runs, you have narrowed it down to a defective ECT. But, don't operate the car with the ECT disconnected.

To revive this old thread, I currently have a P0108 code and had replaced the MAP sensor. It still have the same P0108 code. Also, i guess the rough idle problem is originated from the P0108 code too? Sometimes, the idle dipped to a point that will shut off the car.
On top of that, someone mentioned about Engine Coolant Temp. My ECT gauge on the cluster is always off. Off meaning, when it is even normal operating temp, the gauge is no where close to the middle.
I want to check that ECT link by redbull-1, but is not working.
Anyone can help me out?

Been having a similar problem on a 98 accord. Blown head gasket due to blown radiator hose. Had mechanic mill head, redue valves, new timing belt thermostat. Started and ran at high idle, blew head gasket again(small leak) and giving out PO108 code (never did this before). I believe was caused by improper bleeding. He didnt bleed the system using the bleeder valve located on the intake. Currently he is replacing the blown headgasket, bleeding correctly to ensure all air is gone. Dont know if this would cause the po108, kinda sounds like it would maybe. Dont know if this helps but thats where im at
