Default S2 Intake Manifold question

So when I installed my s2im I think I broke the knock sensor. How can I fix it and where the HELL is the knock sensor???!

Why do you think you broke it?

It's located where the head and block meet.

It's right below the middle of the intake manifold. You could try gluing it back on and hoping for the best? I was under the impression that works. I did that to mine but I don't run a setup that cares about it most of the time.

Replace the knock sensor, I broke mine a while back and I just used an obd2 gsr knock that was lying around, had to solder it into the factory harness but no biggie, located right above the oil filter/cooler.

yea I have a ob2 scanner that reads my codes and it kept saying the knock sensor was having a problem. So Ill try to glue it back or something. Dont know how bad it may be broken since I didnt know where to look lol.

I dont know if I need it or not but I hate seeing my check engine light come on. Thats my main thing.

your going to have to buy a new one to have it function correctly. Othewise it wont read knock correctly even if you glue it back together and it quits tossing a code.

I was recently thinking about changing out my ecu for a p28 as well. Wouldnt that solve that problem as well?
