Knock Sensor Question
It's the plug sticking out of your block right above the oil filter. It's pretty inaccessible from the top of the car due to the intake manifold... jack the front of your car up and get under, reach up past the oil filter is the best way to get at it.
It's the only sensor at the top of the block between cylinders 2 and 3. It has a 2 pin connector on it. It's directly under the intake manifold. It's not hard to find.
Be careful, on older H22s, you're just about guaranteed to break the connector when trying to remove it, rendering the knock sensor useless. A new one is a bit over $100.

Trust 117 hes defanitely right. I did two motor conversion back to back and somehow broke the knock sensors off of both without getting anywhere close to them. Luckily enough i have it under a life time warranty now just incase

Are you sure it is a 2 pin connector?

its a one wire sensor, but I believe it shares the same plug as a two pin, just only uses one of them.
you can add me to the list of peeps who've broken them

It is a 1 pin connector right above the oil filter below the middle of the head.

That is what I thought! The wire was pulled out from the connector on mine and every since it has been throwing codes. I want to replace but I am not be able to get the 1 1/6 socket on it.

Try sticking the wire back in and using JB Weld or some other adhesive to hold the connector in place. You might not need a new sensor... Try it and see if your CEL disappears.

what makes the knock sensor so fragile that it gets damaged/broken so easily?
Is it basically the clip/connector, not the sensor itself?
So if replacing the knock sensor completely, will there be an issue getting the clip/connector to stay on a new sensor?

I would say in the connector ring, where the wire connects.

I just fixed my Knock Sensor Problem today. You have to ensure that the pin is in the connector all the way, so that it makes contact with the sensor!
