Default Oil pan and Drag Kit questions....

is the Drag 3 kit straight bolt on to the Type R or do I need to shave the block, etc? Also, where can I get a moroso oil pan? I don't want to weld to my stock pan, and then run into problems if I have to take the turbo off...

Thanks In Advance,

Chris

buy a cap for the fitting you weld on the pan...problem solved.

DRAG is Not really a bolt on...you will have to do bunches of minor mods to get it in right. search...

The block shaving is very easy and doesnt take long. Like he said just get a cap when you have to take hte turbo off. When I removed my turbo for smog I just capped the return and the oil feed line and that was it. You can get a moroso anywhere. http://www.importparts.com, summit, jegs, Just shop around.

I just bought a bolt with an AN thread, welded it in and ran a steel braided line. A 90 degree fitting from the turbo and a 45 degree fitting from the oil pan. That setup seemed to work best for proper drainage.

i used a dremel to cut mines...few cut-off wheels later the turbo fit fine. I also agree just to run a cap to the oil return fitting on your oil pan when removing the turbo.
