Default Help!! 98 civic ex Auto...

My girlfreinds car is acting up! the car bogs to almost shut off and has no acceleration till you floor it and drives like sh*t. Not throwin any codes! Tranny gone bad? Tranny computer? Sensor?

check the spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor then get back to us.

Also, when was the last time the transmission was serviced?

Wires cap rotor are good so are the spark plugs any all grounds, I changed the tranny fluid 5months ago

I guess check and make sure the intake isn't clogged with something, maybe fuel pressure issue? tough without any codes being thrown.

Just to ask....the check engine light does work right? When you turn the key on they engine does light up?

^thats a big mishap. My light went out till i finally relized the bulb was dead and found out i was throwing a code haha. Change your fuel filter see if that may help.

clogged catalytic convertor, dirty fuel filter.
Plug the obd2 tester to see if you have any codes

Turns out that the crank sensor was rubbing against the altenator belt and was sending a poor signal. Not enough to send a code
