Default Changing spring lengths and weights in Tein SS

At the moment my Tein super streets (with upper mounts) still have the standard spring rates of 6k front/3k rear, wanting to change out the springs for 8k front/6k rear

At the moment the coilovers are wound right to the bottom of the threads all round, the free length of the springs are 250mm front/225mm rear

Would i be able to change the spring length for 225mm front/200mm rear with the new spring rates? Will be running the same height so it means i could just wind the spring seats up i guess?!

Thanks in advance for any input, they are fitted to my civic EK9 by the way

The front spring is probably ok, but I think you need a shorter rear spring. Why don't use use the power of math and geometry to calculate the spring compression?

cool i see what you mean, since the rear springs are going to be a fair bit stiffer and with such little weight on the back it may be worth going down to a 200mm spring perhaps?

will have to jack the car up and measure the threads etc too see how much room i have etc for adjustment i guess!!

what I meant was you should shorten the front by 1" and rear by 2". But do the math to make sure.
