I got a 00 si and everytime im on the highway i get vibration in my steering wheel after 60 and higher. i just got new tires so im pretty sure its not that. any thoughts of what it would be? thanks

 

Go get them balanced.

balance them. i have an 00 Si also. sittin on17's and it happens the same. get them correctly balanced and if u have dropped ur car 2"+ u have to get an alignment

 

Agree as above. Get them balanced and possibly an alignment.

 

Chances are your tires were not properly balanced. Unless it's been awhile and your tires are starting to wear irregularly due to bad alignment and now they're out of balance. Just so everyone knows, alignments don't cause vibrations, they cause irregular tire wear which causes vibrations. Also, it might be drivetrain vibration; drivetrain vibration will change as you give it gas, hold gas steady or let of the gas. If it don't change then it's tire balance problem.

 

alignment doesnt cause steering wheel shake do not listen to anyone telling u it is an alignment. alignment only effects tire wear it may be a balance issue or check your front end parts

 

maby the drive shaft is missing the dampener
