My car is low and it causes a pretty harsh camber wear. So what I did is I flipped the tires on the two front wheels. They were both mount and balanced, but now at high speed (60+ MPH), the front of the car shakes - especially when I gas it full throttle.

What can I do? Burn out until both sides are even?

Did you rotate your tires LEFT TO RIGHT?????? or Front to back???? Cause you are not supose to rotate tires LEFT to RIGHT for the reason that its shaking. Only way to solve this problem is to get 2 new tires up front and get a full allignment.

if your alignment is perfect, check your tire pressures, check your tire balance. And if that is all groovy you might have a bent wheel.

Yeah it's rotated left to right since the rear has perfect camber. These tires are rotational, if I switch them backwards, does it really matter?

well what happens is if you had worn them down really bad before you switched them, then after you rotated them you are driving on a really uneven tire. tires were made to wear evenly so if you drive on a uneven tire you sould expect some problems. I would suggest getting new tires.....

What kind of suspension do you have bacause I know that most of the cars that I see and work on that have poor suspension (springs shocks even tires) tend to have some shaking in the steering wheel at high speeds...an alignment is also critical to a good suspension...

I'm running on H&R race with stock shocks and rolling on Kumho Esta Supras 205/50/25. I guess it's the tires then, I flipped then too late. One side was more worn than the other.

well here's the problem you're running 25" rims on a civic, of course their going to shake

sounds like you got a balancing problem there. or you could have a slightly loose lugnut.

I'm betting on a loose lugnut, I had a similar problem awhile back due to a rookie working on my car for the first and LAST time.

if it was a tire problem it would do it at constant speeds, same thng with the lugnut and alignment theory. take it back tell them to re-balance the tires and go from there.

I'm going to have to go with checking the balancing on your tires.

You mean directional? All tires are "rotational."

If you have rotational tires and you are running them opposite of the way they are supposed to go it will cause shaking. Flip them back the right way and just rotate front to back.

25" wheels on a civic?.. maybe thats a typo, or i missed someone commenting on it... but you are talking about directional tires? i doubt that a tire shop would flip a Left directional tire, and flip it around.. that would cause shaking i believe, cuz the tread is designed for a certain side of u're car, left/right.. i say take it back and get it rebalanced, sometimes the weights fall off, or when the put the wheel on the balancer, its not all the way tightned and its not truely balanced.. anyways gl

i'll be the FIRST to say check the CV Boots. plus also check the balance of the tires,alignment, and any bent parts near the the suspension area. anything or all could contribute to a problem.

You put enough miles on directional tires to wear them down, now you have them spinning the wrong direction. The cords are probly starting to shift. I'd get a new set of tires in a hurry before it comes unglued going down the road.

This type of thing happened to me, but only at 80 MPH +. The tread look ok on the tires, but when I took the tires off and really inspected them, it turns out that I had flat spots in several places on the tread. So I bought 4 new tires, and problem solved.

Yes, I mean directional. Geez, I can't get anything right anymore.

Someone mentioned the lugnuts in the last previous post. Funny you mentioned it because I had wheel locks on the rims before and lost the key. So the tire shop put on different honda ones that fit. But the weird thing is it only shakes when I'm accelerating. If I go 80MPH and take it to neutral, it goes away.
