Default Header ground clearance WTF!!

I have a jdm b16a2 in my eg hatch. I borrowed my boy's tri-y header and the ground clearance is absolutely ridiculous. this bastard scrapes on everything!! I have my car pretty low but generally drive with it really low. What would be a nice looking aftermarket header with the BEST ground clearance. Thanks for the input!

Any well known or "nice brand" haha would be fine, (hytech, rage, dc sports, etc) many of these fit very well under the block and suck up near the oil pan. I have a greddy header in my eg on my c5 and fitment is perfect, and it's slammed and still no scrapage

your boys tri-y header is probably for a b18 which is a little bit taller, which would make the header lower to the ground on a b16.

some that are designed for both are still good with ground clearance. i recommend DC.

I saw this problem on some truck show once. What they did was raise the engine up closer to the hood.

On a RWD truck, you don't have to worry about axle angles and shift rod alignment. Even so, that's a pretty weak way to fix that issue.

his header is a b16 header, the bitch just sits so low and what makes it worse is that it angles down as it gets closer to the collector. Ghey! now I need to find a DC or something that isnt ***** expensive.

You should all list your ride height and header and if you scrape or not.

4-1 headers have the worst ground clearance because they're meant for racing. If you want to drive it on street, you want to get a 4-2-1 header.

^^Talk about it, my 4-1 got smashed up on a man hole un a unfinished road at 35mph. Hit so hard it ripped the stainless steel header apart at the bend to the cat and ripped it off the block at cylinder # 3 & 4!!!!!
