Default header way close to the ground!

a friend of mine got a 4-1 stainless steel header w/ no brand or label on it....but the header is too low to the ground on his dc integra, its lowered with h&r race springs, is it common for high performance header to be more lower than oil pan?

yes, because of the design, 4-1 headers sit closer to the ground that 4-2-1. he might want to look in to welding a skid plate on to that thing.

yeah 4-1 headers are way closer to the ground than 4-2-1 headers. just weld on or bolt on a metal piece on the bottom of it to protect it.

i had to change my 4-1 to 4-2-1 cuz it dented so bad it caused restrictions in the airflow. that was with a 2 inch drop on the suspension.

both dc couldnt tell a difference between either of them

I had one of my dads friend weld me a thick metal plate. 50 bucks for a plate will make a whole in my pocket.
