Icon3 idle and shaking problems!! :(

okay so i have a 95 civic with a d15b and 8lb flywheel *added it cause my friend said the flywheel might add to the problem* okay so when i idle its really bad, my dash shakes, my steering wheel shakes and i dont even idle that low, ill idle at around 900-1100 and it shakes like crazy like you can hear it and everything but on some days it doesnt shake like itll be fine but most of the time it shakes realll bad so my question is, what is going on? my friend said its my flywheel shaking the tranny but that sounds like ****, i think it might be my motor mounts going bad, and my dad thinks its a bad dizzy so yeah what do you guys think? thanks in advance

Does it shake when you give a little gas? if it does then you might something off balance.

Your engine might be misfiring. Chances are its a fuel problem if it goes away when you give it gas. Do a balance test, at idle, pull plug wires from one cylinder at a time and see if it gets worse or nothing happens. Pulling plug wires can be dangerous, I recommend wearing rubber gloves and use insulated plyers.

First of all, I believe you have a high idle issue. I'm not sure what the standard idle speed for the EG is, but my g/f's 97 DX idle is 670RPM +- 50 RPM. My EG currently idles around 700-800 RPM's. Any CEL's? Have you actually inspected the motor mounts? Obviously if you had aftermarket HASport mounts or stiffer mounts you'll notice more vibration.

CEL 22 is on but thats just the vtec oil valve, i dont think it can affect the idle issue and im pretty sure the mounts are stock and i dont think its that dangerous to pull plugs, i pull them all the time to check for stuff

check your spark plugs, if one of them is bad, your car will shake pretty voilently

same issue im having...any luck at fixing the problem?

Right now my car will idle between 900-1100rpm(when warmed up) and vibrates pretty bad when it gets around 900rpm. I cleaned the fitv and iacv with no improvement. No cel and everything is fresh in the motor.

bump for any other suggestions....

What's your mileage? I'd check mounts first. Maybe tighten up the dash bolts. If it idles rough at high rpms it will only get worse at low rpms.

It is possibly a fuel problem is your car throwing codes if so its probably your injectors and if not check the misfire by pulling one plug at a time
Im pretty sure its a fuel problem though
