Default idle issues(not standard IACV or FITV problem)

Okay i have had a ls-vtec and its been in about 3 cars and still done the same thing, it seems that it never wants to idle below about 1000rpms, as soon as it gets lower it will just stumble and die, Could this be because of a fidanza flywheel? I have tried everything, IACV, FITV, timing, etc. etc. this has had me stumped and the only thing i can think of is how light the flywheel is. any ideas?
