Default **B16 SURGE** IS IT IACV??????

So I've pretty much narrowed it down to IACV on my B16 for the horrible and worst surge it has that I've ever seen. Now is thier anyway for me to be sure it is the IACV, cause its $170 at the store so I wanna be sure thats the problem. Anyway for me to test the IACV to check if its faulty?

take the intake off and put your finger over the hole in the t/b (dont cover the t/b with your hand!!! it could very well suck it it a little bit) that leads to the iacv, if it stops then thats what it is. Also, if it does it only/more when it warmed up its the iacv, if only when cold then mostly likely fitv.

Just had the same problem with mine. Could also be the FITV. this sits under the throttle body and thats what mine was. Theres a write up on here about how to clean/check it. Only took me about 20 minutes to do everything.

So when the engine is at normal temperature I SHOULDN'T feel any air being sucked threw the FITV right? And if air is being sucked when at normal temp then its a faulty IACV?
