Default Aftermarket radio install-need instructions

Alright.. i know about the whole keyless entry through the factory head unit. today i was going to purchase a new head unit since it was a good deal and free install.. and i could install myself but with the keyless entry i know its more difficult.. but they were going to charge me 239$ for everything. but i know there is people on here that know how to leave the factory radio partially installed but hidden and allow for the new radio to be functioning. so if someone could help me out.. and let me know which wire i need to leave hooked up i think i could figure out the rest.

mount it under the pass seat and make a jumper harness from the green connector to it....... that way it makes it really easy to reprogram ur phobes...

all you need to do is cut about 4 inches from the green connector under the dash buy some primary wire from a parts house... then splice it color to color... all you need to do is provide pwer, ground, and acc power to the old radio aswell as antenna... u can leave the audio not connected...obviously you will be using another deck for that...

ok. would it be easier to buy the special harness? because i know there is a specific harness for 96-98 w/ keyless entry. so like if i cut all the wires before the connector to the radio ran the three required wires to the old radio and the spliced the rest to the new harness, that would be correct?

sooooooooooooooooooo uneccesary! well if you wanted to preserve the oe wiring i suppose so... just make a harness extension... you could always splice it back the way it was..

alright..but would it make it easier? less hassle? im pretty sure theyre like 12 bucks.. ok so one last time.. i remove my radio.. cut all wires leading to radio connector. extend the 4 required wires for keyless entry to the old radio.. then just splice the old wires with the new wires for the new radio?
