Icon3 Boost vs Comp ratio vs turbo volume vs detnotation

Hi all

I know the volume of air with the T61 at the same boost level of the T3/T4 would b different. Is it the volume of air or the pressure, that matters when determining octane, boost and detonation limit etc..
How can i calculate it etc..

I have searched this topic, but there nothing that really answers this q, ur advice and comments would b appreciated, thanx

BTW, sorry for posting twice, dnt know how to delete

i wouldn't go much over 500whp on pump. Throw in some 110 and call it a day

A lot of Hondas run 1.3bar with pump fuel in SA and Mozambique.

With tha CR u can run 1.4bar without i problem i recon, bt it depends on the tuning...
Our Honda runs 1.2bar on 95, and the CR is 9:1. Tuner Graham Susman from Dicktator.

Hi

Revlimitracer : who are you - which Honda is yours ??

Siraj - didn't you know South African's aren't allowed to be on this forum................hahahaha

I would really like to see you run 1.4bar on our 95 pump fuel - i haven't seen it done yet
You must then be really running slow ignition timing (15deg) to be able to do that
Ive seen modified OPC's run up to 1.5 bar on 95 but that is with days and days of map editing and the OPC's smarter than the space shuttle managment system that is constantly making changes to avoid detonation

Are you guys using 95 RON or 95 (R+N)/2?? There's a big difference, as 95 RON would be equivalent to 91 (R+N)/2. In that case, 400whp would be as far as I'd take it. However, you have a very large turbine and low compression, so chances are you could take it further.

As for how much boost that will require, I couldn't tell you, but usually that gas will want to knock above 17:1 effective CR, meaning [CR * absolute pressure]. 8.5 * 2.1 = ~17.85.
