OP no a scoop isn't going to help you. As for weight reduction and track times. Every 100 pounds you loose, you gain 1/10th of a second. Loose 500lbs gain half a second.

pretty much all there is to it. the only performance gain is the weight reduction and it may lower the under the hood temp a little
