Default Cutting hood reinforcements?

I have a 2 spare hoods trying to put my car on a diet when tracking the car.

Before CF hoods came about I always heard of people cutting the stock hood reinforcements.

I was wondering if anyone has done on here this?
How much weight savings is it compared to the stock hood?
What did you use to cut, a jig saw?

BTW I don't want a CF hood

Thanks in advance...

If you think about it.... you're not really gonna save much weight, what like 5-10 lbs. tops? Stock hood is heavy but the part you'd be deleting isn't the heavy part. Just take the hood off at the track Jeff!!
