Broken Electrode
So I bought some bkr7eix-11 iridium spark plugs for my R at sparkplugs.com and one of them were gapped wrong. So i thought it was no biggie and i put them in anyways so now cylinder 4 has a slightly chipped ground strap thats burnt on one side. The rest of them are fine, probably because they were gapped correctly at .44, but the cylinder 4 one was around .40 so i decided to gap them to .44 and the electrode broke.
Now i'm pissed off because i bought some 40 dollar iridium spark plugs that has one broken electrode. I'm thinking if i should just buy one, or call and complain that they weren't gapped properly. Can you run 1 new spark plug and run the other 3 that are used?
i am currently running on a backup set of bkr6e-11 coppers.
i was also wondering if my car could have misfired due to such a small margin of improper gapping. It was idling kinda lumpy only at certain times, and when i hit close 8000rpm it would just make this loud noise going no where, but the rest of the power band is good.
