Default Loud Whine?

I have just noticed that my car has been making a louder than normal whine? It's loud on up shift and downshift? Where should i start looking? The clutch was just replaced and the throwout bearing and pilot bearing are brand new. I am thinking it might be the input shaft bearing. What are some symptoms of that?

Update: If i push in the clutch while i am moving and keep the rpm's the same i still hear the noise?

you can tell if it's your ISB when noise stops happening after you press in the clutch. then it would come back once you take your foot off the clutch.

My doesn't really sound like that? My sound is more of a constant. Yours sounds like whine.....whine.....whine..... my sound is more of a constant wwhhhiiinnneee.

Maybe im just being paranoid and its normal gear whine?

How loud is your sound from in the car?

mine was really loud inside the car, or it gradually got loud as especially during 3k-5k rpm. and as far as the whining, it was more of a fluttering noise. i've also have had a whining noise, and that was just a throwout bearing, just turn up the music ha.

try getting a recording for it or video recording, that might help us diagnose it better.

YES! hey dude i have the exact same problem! it started of with my first gear whenever i was driving i just started to hear that exact same noise...sometimes it would be there and sometimes it wouldnt...i thought it was the clutch so i had it replaced but that wasnt the case. i had a couple people check it out and they told me it was the tranny...you can either have someone rebuild it or buy a used one for it from japan...other than that there really isnt much u can do...

what's with the question mark???? You do hear it when the clutch is pushed in? or you don't?
Here's a question...does the whine get more high pitched as you roll on the revs whilte in gear? Does the sound go away on the highway or become less loud when in top gear cruisin on the highway?
