Throw out bearing?
Alright every so often i'll hear a squeeling noise comming from my tranny when i'm just sitting somewhere. I'll then press the clutch in all the way and it'll go away, i was thinking it's the throw out bearing?
Can anyone else confirm this and what does this mean?
Thanks, John

Re: Throw out bearing? (BauleyCivic)
yeah, it only makes a high pitch noise that's kinda quiet when sitting at idle. Then i press the clutch in and it goes away, happens not too often though.
also sometimes my clutch gets stuck at the bottom? is it the pressue plate? and does it mean time for a new clutch?

Throw out bearing. The noise and the fact that it's getting stuck is a give a away. Time for a new TOB, mise well do a clutch while your in there unless you like pulling trannies for fun.

will i have a simliar problem i can hear a clicking noise on the side of my tranny. After the motor warms up and sit at idle it tend to go away though. i just finish changing my clutch new TOB, pilot bearing, resurface flywheel as of 10.19.03 . but i got to admit it drives 100 times better prior to changing the clutch. plus before i had 3rd gear grinds .. Now NO MORE grinds and shift smoother compared to before.

will it potentially screw anything up? if i bought a new pilot bearing would it fix the problem? or should i just get a new clutch kit?
