Default GSR tranny fit LS block?

will a 93 gsr tranny fit the LS block without having to replace the clutch?
i have a OEM replacement clutch by excedy.. my LS tranny went bad

The clutch has to match the shaft for your tranny...find out if there the same count...Im pretty sure there the same but im not 100%...

well i checked the website where i got the clutch and the product #'s for both GSR and LS OEM replacement clutches are the same...

it should bolt up just right. but the 93 gsr trany i believe is cable not hydro and was ur old ls trany cable or hydro?

Assuming you don't break anything during the removal, and that the new transmission has no issues, it's as simple as removing some bolts, pulling off the transmission, slapping the new one on, and putting those bolts back in

Yup all B-series trans will bolt up to all B-Series blocks, the only thing you have to look out for when getting into the DA is that the 90-91 has a different spline than the rest do. And there are plenty of conversion kits out there if you decide in time to go with a hydro trans. Had a 95 GS-R (hydro) trans in my 92 GS (cable) with the hasport kit, worked great.

or just do it like i did i have a 91 DA and i had some hydrolic lines cylinder and clutch pedal from my ek laying around so i thought i'd put it to use so all i did was cut the hole for the cylinder and bolted it on bent the hydro lines myself which are like a buck at oreileys auto parts store hooked it up and called it a day ....seems like alot of work but it's really not to bad..
